The 16th release of the Mercedes Trophy Golf competition in India had a shotgun start this morning, 6th January 2016 at the Willingdon Sports Club. The yearly competition is in it’s 16th version in India and will highlight 25 days of qualifiers connecting with around 2000+ Golfers, making it the biggest partake Golf competition in India. Shaman Wheels, a leading Mercedes-Benz dealer from Mumbai has been one of the core organizers for the Mumbai round of Tournament. Internationally, Mercedes Trophy witnesses support of around 50,000+ Golfers from crosswise over 50 nations engaging it out for the top prize, making it one of the world’s biggest brandishing occasions.
The 40 champs from the qualifying rounds being held in 13 urban areas – Bengaluru, Coimbatore, Pune, Chennai, Ahmedabad, Mumbai, Hyderabad, Jamshedpur, Jaipur, Bhubaneswar, Chandigarh, Kolkata and Delhi, will then contend at the National Finals at the Oxford Golf Resort, Pune from 30th March – 1st April, 2016.
Three Champs from the National Finals will encourage advancement to the Mercedes Trophy World Finals – Stuttgart, Germany in September 2016, to go up against the winners from everywhere throughout the world.
10 finalists will rise up out of the 5 rounds of qualifiers in Delhi NCR-the most from amongst each of the 13 urban areas. One winner will go to the British Open Championship and will get an opportunity to play the Royal Troon Championship course the day taking after the competition. 4 winners will tee off for a Golf excursion to Abu Dhabi.
