Expanding its S-Class lineup in India, luxury car maker Mercedes-Benz launched another sedan nationally on 5th April 2016 in the form of the new S400 , expanding its range of luxury cars further. A new variant of the highly successful S-Class S400 is the ninth variant of its flagship S-Class model that comes with a V6 petrol engine that produces 333 hp and 480 nm (newton metre) of torque.
The new S400 in India, priced at 1.28 Crore (ex-showroom, Delhi) will focus on those customers who are searching for luxury and better-running expenses too.
“Mercedes-Benz believes in introducing the latest products and variants in the market at regular intervals, to keep customer interest and curiosity intact in the brand. This strategy, we firmly believe, has contributed to our unmatched success in India,” said Roland Folger, managing director and chief executive of Mercedes-Benz India. Stating that the S400 will be locally manufactured at the company’s production facility at Chakan in Pune.
The Mercedes S400 is stacked with all the luxuries including the air balance package, seat memory function, chauffeur package, customizable interior upholstery as well as rear seat tables. The rear seats also get 10-inch screens for improved on-the-go entertainment, while the cabin also gets seven different ambient light option. Furthermore, you get a panoramic sunroof, 360-degree camera and a 1540-watt Burmester sound system for acoustic needs.
So what should you expect from the S400? It gets the same amount of luxury that you’ve seen on the other trims and this incorporates stuff like air-suspension, unmatched quality in the cabin, great on space and of course oodles of comfort. There aren’t any exterior changes either save for the badging that gives away the variant easily.
